Buhl

You may have noticed this man in the earlier post of pictures from the Mini Bar. While he resembles a leaner Anthony Hopkins, his name is Henry Buhl. He was in Kaohsiung for the same reason we were -- to install a museum exhibition.

For the last 20 or so years, Henry has been collecting photographs and sculpture containing the image of the hand as subject or playing a significant roll. Part of his 1000+ piece collection now comprises the show "Speaking With Hands".

His show had just opened that day and he joined us for drinks later in the evening, then slipped out the door, having picked up the tab.
